Written Assignment #4
Water is essential for life and plays a vital role in the proper functioning of the Earth's ecosystems. The pollution of water has a serious impact on all living creatures, and can negatively affect the use of water for drinking, household needs, recreation, fishing, transportation and commerce. EPA enforces federal clean water and safe drinking water laws, provides support for municipal wastewater treatment plants, and takes part in pollution prevention efforts aimed at protecting watersheds and sources of drinking water. The Agency carries out both regulatory and voluntary programs to fulfill its mission to protect the nation's waters. Though much has been done to clean up our waters, much work remains. Sewer overflows and runoff from farms and city streets threaten the life-sustaining properties of our waters, endanger human health and wildlife, and result in thousands of beach closings each year.
How can you help save freshwater in your daily life? Would the savings be worth the cost? Do you think that water polllution is worse now than it was in the past?

I think water pollution is WAY worse now than in the past.I mean no you can't even walk to the creek by your house without seeing a floating beerbottle ir bag of chips.I do think it is possible to save our water, just by cleaning up the trash we put out.Somepeople need to STOP littering,my goodness just wait the five minuts to throw it in the trash,it's as if the world is there trash can or something. So if they stop and clean up the mess our water will be safe and clean.Just like that song, clean up clean up everybody everywhere, clean up clean up everybody do your share.
